Brief
Objective: Conceptualize and develop designs for an event invitations of your choice. The invitation should utilize interesting papers, have unique and complex die, matching envelope, and must meet the specified technical requirements.
Requirements: Research various event types that have the need for a formal printed invitation. Complete brainstorming exercises to develop the concise concept for the event.
Develop a mind-map and narrative to form creative direction for your creative brief for the event and gather a collection of images and type specimens which you feel will best serve your design.
Technical: The invitation must contain the following:
• Use of at least 3 folds.
• Must use one or two other techniques eg. Foil, Emboss, Die cuts.
• Meet USPS First Class standards
• Appropriately sized envelope
• Include RSVP and RSVP envelope
• Digital files completed

I felt that adding a slot animation component into the design would add an element of surprise for the user. I explored how to create this optical illusion. This is an early print test of the effect, after achieving the desired effect digitally
